Ben Stewart

Ben has practiced as a Clinical Psychologist for over 10 years after graduating from Adelaide University. He has an empathic and down-to-earth manner and is able to meet clients at their point of need. He has a special interest in working with clients with a history of trauma.

Ben is experienced in a number of therapy types, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). He draws on elements of these and other models when required, catering to the unique presenting challenges and goals of each client in a collaborative way.

Before entering private practice in 2022, Ben worked in the Department for Correctional Services in a variety of clinical roles, in addition to managing other psychologists. These roles gave him a breadth and depth of clinical and forensic experience which he draws on in both therapy and assessments.

Ben brings this experience together with warmth and care to support clients in understanding themselves more deeply and creating positive, sustainable change in their lives.

Ben works Monday to Wednesday and Friday. He is accepting new clients including adolescents and adults.
